When Wian isn’t tearing up the track, you’ll find him chasing thrills with his mates under their motto: “Let’s Go Ride.” Whether it’s cycling the trails of Wolwespruit or biking through the rugged terrain at Grooties, he’s always in pursuit of adrenaline, speed, and the rush of adventure.
Off the saddle, Wian treasures time with family and friends and is deeply committed to giving back to his community. No matter what he’s doing, he brings the same energy, passion, and focus that define him on the racetrack.
- 2024: Won the African Rokcup OKJ Championship that was hosted in South Africa for the first time.
- 2023: Won the Rotax African Cup ticket to attend the Rotax Grand Finals in Bahrain
- 2022: Won the African Open Rotax Championship and the ticket to attend the Rotax World Grand finals in Portimao, Portugal in the Junior Max Category.
- 2021: Mini Rok – 1st Place and Driver of the Day.

Early Life and Passion for Racing
Wian discovered a passion for racing at an early age. Growing up, he spent countless hours at local tracks, honing his skills and developing a deep love for the sport.
Wian’s journey into go kart racing began at the age of 4. At age 6 he took 1st place at the Cadet Africa Rookie championship. From that moment on, he was hooked, dedicating his time and energy to improving and excelling in the sport.
Off the Track
For Wian, racing isn’t just a sport—it’s a calling. Every lap is a testament to his perseverance, discipline, and relentless pursuit of excellence. He races not only to stand on the podium, but to light a path for the next generation—to show them that with heart, grit, and vision, the impossible becomes possible.
